Peruvian Gourd Creations

   Peruvian artisanship has long been held as one of the most decoative in the world. These items have varying shades of brown, orange and black due to the varying pressure and length of application of the heated metal tool, called a burin, used in the burning process. Beautiful conversational art pieces for any area of the house. Since gourds are a product of nature, sizes and shapes of individual gourds will vary.

The artisans are from Huancayo Peru and the art has been passed generation to generation.
